It is becoming clearly evident that liberals are scraping for pathetic attempts to win arguements. It feels like the end of a really competitive good old SEC football game and down to the last 30 seconds. The losing team always pulls an offside kick or a Hail Mary and most of the time, still lose. Last year's Iron Bowl is a perfect example of the Obama administration and how they operate. They don't even wait til the last 6 months of the administration to pull any cheap tricks! They started the game with an offside kick and lemme tell you, are on a roll! They seem to have no shame for the insults they throw toward the Republicans, Independents, or even Liberals who are disagreeing with their own party. No one is safe from their not too witty comebacks.
Never you fear. For when they run out of nicknames ending in "-phobia," they will no doubt as usual pull, in this past weekends case, the race card.
Out of some deep rooted anger towards Glenn Beck and his rally on Washington at Lincoln Memorial, they have now resorted to making all people supporting, or have spoken at this event, look "racist." They use names like "huckster" and are calling this event "obscene." Why, you may ask, are they screaming at the top of their lungs? They scream in protest of the Civil Rights Movement and the great speech given by Martin Luther King, Jr.
Once again, I find it unsettling that these people are protesting in honor of a protest for peace, but I digress.
If they have forgotten or perhaps in most ignorant people's cases, not even read or listened to the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, let me remind you.
He would be rolling around in his grave if he could hear the names you have called Glenn Beck. Lets not even mention what he might think if he knew you were doing so "in his name." Dr. King spoke of moving forward and rising above all ignorant prejudices.
Just because Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin said some things at this rally that you may not have liked to hear, does not in any way give you the right to belittle their voices. And it certainly does not give you a right to infer that they are a bunch of backwood "huckster" racist rednecks. Civil Rights applies to ALL people not just the black community. What Martin Luther King did was to be spread across this nation and not to be held back by ridiculous limitations.
History serves a great purpose. It is my favorite thing to study. Just because you move forward does not mean you have forgotten the past. No one has forgotten the plight of the Civil Rights Movement and no one should. No, I was not there. No, I was not a victim. This doesn't mean that I still don't hear or listen to his words. It has helped shape our nation towards a better good. However, to move forward, as Dr. King spoke, you cannot hold the past still so full of anger and hatred.
"We cannot turn back." - Martin Luther King
The Civil Rights Movement was not about calling names or pointing fingers. It was about taking back your rights as a citizen of the United States of America. That is what Glenn Beck was talking about! It was about equal opportunity in jobs so that all people have the opportunity to provide for themselves. It was about taking responsibility for your actions and not taking our Constitution for granted.
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.' " - Martin Luther King
Well liberals, if we are all equal, then why are you treating Glenn Beck differently than Martin Luther King? He is an American with concerns and the drive to rally people together for a cause, similar to the same purpose of why Dr. King rallied people to that same spot.
Keep your cheap shots, namecalling insults to yourselves because no one likes a prejudiced sour-puss.
